The Kiss: A Poem for NaPoWriMo

As some of you might know, April is National Poetry Writing Month, also known as “NaPoWriMo.” Some people try to write a poem every day, which is truly awesome! There are plenty of websites that give daily poem prompts for those who needs ideas or some writing direction. I don’t have the time nor creativity (nor talent) to come up with a daily poem, but I definitely try to write at least one poem here for this event each year. Below is my humble contribution for this year.

The Kiss

Eyes shyly closing,
face slowly approaching,
butterflies nervously rising,
heart loudly pounding,
lips gently meeting,
time suddenly stopping,
thoughts gradually fading,
stardust delicately swirling,
love softly blooming.

I hope you like it. As always, thanks for stopping by. ❤
