The countdown has begun!
The flights have been booked and the accommodations have been arranged. We are going to the Azores, Lisbon, and Spain this summer! π΅πΉ πͺπΈ I cannot wait!

This international trip will span three glorious weeks of summer and will involve five family members, two countries, various hotel and vacation rental accommodations, lots of different foods and wines, some fun souvenirs, and plenty of excursions for all of us.
I’ve been to Lisbon before (ages ago), but not to the Azores or Spain. There’s just so much to see and do! We’re going to see the village in the Azores where my mom was born, island-hop to four different islands, take a river cruise along the Tagus River in Lisbon, and eat at the oldest restaurant in the world (which is located in Madrid). That’s just a few of the fun things we have planned.
I am also looking forward to enjoying such culinary delights as pasteis de nata, some port wine, bacalhau, refreshing caipirinhas, heavenly bolo de bolacha, Manchego cheese, tapas, Spanish ham, gazpacho, and amazing paella.
Being the photographer and writer that I am, you know that I will take plenty of photos and notes to share my moxie adventures (and mishaps) with all of you.
All that aside, please say a prayer or two for our health and safety while we are abroad, and wish us luck that everything goes as smoothly as possible. Our trip is still a little bit of a ways off, but my family and I would appreciate the prayers and well-wishes nevertheless.
As always, thanks for stopping by. β€
Not even going to tell you how jealous I am cousin. Lol I know you are going to have an amazing time!! Looking forward to seeing your blog with trip photos!!

Well, I’ve tried something close — the ones from Lord Stow’s Bakery in Macau. They’re the best ones I had so far, and I hope I can travel to Portugal to try the real ones out. (Also, the Sanctuary of Fatima is worth visiting too.)
