Autumn is my favorite season.ππ
The vibrant golds, reds, oranges, and yellows of the changing leaves are simply breath-taking each year. The trees seem to be giving their last hurrah before they retire for the winter. It’s such a beautiful display of shockingly fierce colors! Purple and green are my favorite colors, but something about the colors of fall seem to captivate my soul.
I am one of those people that will go out of my way to step on a dry, crunchy-looking leaf, just to hear that noise. It’s such a satisfying sound.
There’s a chill in the air that comes on slowly. As the hot days of summer start coming to an end, the weather begins to cool off and is absolutely perfect here in California. The cool mornings give way to afternoons that are beautiful and warm, which fade into crisp, chilly nights.
The pumpkin spice craze with everything seems a bit much, but I’ve got to say that I was given some Ghirardelli pumpkin spice caramel chocolatesΒ recently and they were quite amazing!
Thanksgiving is in the fall, and it’s my second favorite holiday (Christmas being my first favorite). I love enjoying a feast with my family, with the delicious aromas of savory turkey, fresh baked bread, and pumpkin and apple pies wafting through the kitchen. I love that we come together to enjoy each other’s company, to be grateful for our many blessings, and to stuff ourselves with yummy food.
I was blessed to give birth to both of my children in the fall. My husband and I took them to the pumpkin patch yesterday, and each year, it’s so endearing to watch them. Such joy at racing around the pumpkins, hay bales, and gourds, such excitement and pride at picking out the “perfect one,” and such love between the two of them! We had a great time and I was again reminded of how blessed I am to be their Mama. Below are a few photos of our fun little visit to the pumpkin patch.

Fall is my favorite season, too! Since I am a Fall baby, bday is in Nov. I think I have always loved the fact that Fall meant my birthday was growing near. π Those were fabulous pictures of the kiddos!
